2018 Ford Escape Airbags, Safety Features, Safety Score

The 2018 Ford Escape is a crossover Sports Utility Vehicle that
is coming up with ample powertrain options, tough body styling
and synchronic interior. The car doesn’t have many
modifications as per its predecessor but still has a lot to
offer. The powertrains are strong but only the engine assembly
in the top most model Titanium will be the most liked and
preferred. The features are ample but few are standard and the
pricing goes higher with every addition.

2018 Ford Escape Engine

The 2018 Ford Escape would be launched in four trim levels:
Escape S, Escape SE, Escape SEL and Escape Titanium. The 2018
Ford Escape S would come powered by a naturally aspirated 168
hp 2.5 liter inline four cylinder engine with front wheel
drive. The higher trims would be powered by the 2017 Escape’s
new powertrain 179 hp 1.5 liter EcoBoost four cylinder engine.
This will be coupled with front wheel drive and optional all
wheel drive. The Ford offers a basic system that is capable of
shifting power between the front and rear wheels and
disseminate power between them as and when the wheel slipping
is detected. The titanium model would receive a 245 hp 2.0
liter EcoBoost four engine. This engine will form the most
liked powertrain for the upgraded Escape with powerful
acceleration, strong stability and silent engine noise. All of
these engine would be coupled with six speed automatic

2018 Ford Escape Interiors

The 2018 Ford Escape showcase contemporary interior styling
with firm seats. The seats are also quite accommodating and
comforting with heated front seats.  However, the width of
the seats are slightly less which can be slightly upsetting for
some. There is ample head room and leg room. The lower trims
have cloth lining on the seats. The higher trims have leather
lining over the seats which are of high quality especially in
the range topping Titanium variant. The cargo space is optimum,
not too large, not any small. It is going to be 34 cubic feet
behind the rear seat which can be expanded to 68 cubic feet
with the rear seats folding. There is also two position load
floor in the cargo area for additional storage. Even the small
storage areas within the cabin are well thought of for lending
the cabin an easy to use feel. Escape offers a gesture
controlled tail gate that opens at the swipe of a foot.
The air vents near the touchscreen display allow for
climate control. There is also dual zone automatic climate
control for the weather comfort. The cabin is slightly noisy
and discomforting for people who demand  peace. The
Infotainment System offers a basic 4.2 inch display center
screen in the lower trims and an 8.0 inch touchscreen in the
higher trims along with Bluetooth, Navigation, CD player, Voice
Recognition and HD Radio.
